We all have felt it.... But how do we overcome it???

Hi Reader

Did you know that burnout is an officially recognized condition by the World Health Organization? But here's something even more shocking...

According to a Gallup study:

  • 23% of employees reported feeling burned out at work very often or always
  • An additional 44% reported feeling burned out sometimes

In essence, this means that about two-thirds of full-time workers experience burnout on the job. Quite a staggering statistic, don't you think?

But let's delve a bit deeper.

When we look at entrepreneurs, the numbers get even more unsettling. According to a study by the University of California, 49% of entrepreneurs suffer from at least one form of mental health condition during their lifetimes. This includes burnout, which can often lead to depression if left untreated.

And what about parents? A study published in Frontiers in Psychology found that parental burnout affects approximately 5% of parents and has severe consequences, not only for the adult but also for the child.

πŸ’ͺ Fighting Back Against Burnout

So, how do we combat burnout? Here are some actionable tips based on these insights:

  • Prioritize self-care: This isn't just about bubble baths and spa days. It's about ensuring you're eating well, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, and taking time for yourself.

  • Set boundaries: Establishing clear boundaries between your work and personal life can drastically reduce burnout. This might mean shutting off work emails after a certain hour or scheduling "do not disturb" time in your calendar.

  • Seek support: If you're feeling overwhelmed, don't hesitate to seek support from friends, family, or professionals. Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness β€” it's a step towards resilience.

Burnout can be a formidable adversary, but with the right strategies, we can fight back and reclaim our well-being.

Stay Well,
